Taking a day trip over to Perast was easily one of the best decisions I made during my time in Kotor, Montenegro. Getting there was super easy, there is a public bus that will bring you there for only one euro or you could choose to get there by boat. Of all the different spots I visited during my vacation, Perast seemed the most well preserved and untouched. This adorable little town had significantly less tourists visiting in comparison to Kotor’s Old Town. Kotor itself considered a best-kept secret for a European travel destination, but Perast would be one of Kotor’s best-kept secrets. So much so that I almost hesitate to write much about either spot, but at the same time I cannot contain all of the excitement I have from seeing these two places. It is hard to describe in words the charm of Perast so this post will consist only of pictures capturing it’s beauty and showing why you absolutely need to see it.
